When you need to haul tall or bulky cargo, the BAKFlip G2 folds up out of the way without removing it from the truck. The quad-fold design lets you flip the panels toward the cab, and built-in prop rods hold the cover upright so you can drive with the bed completely open. Rubber bumpers keep the folded panels from touching the cab glass, and tie-down straps let you secure the cover partially open when you still want rear-window visibility.
Keeping your gear safe is simple with the G2’s built-in latch system. Each aluminum panel automatically locks into place under its own weight when closed, and once your tailgate is locked, the bed is sealed. The 1/2" thick, rustproof aluminum panels can’t be peeled up or cut through, giving real peace of mind when tools or valuables are in the bed—no extra locks or cables needed.
Rain, snow, or sun won’t slow this cover down. The insulated aluminum panels and matte black rubber seals block out water, while a built-in gutter system channels any runoff through drain hoses behind the cab. The black paint finish with a hair-cell texture resists corrosion and UV damage, so the cover stays looking sharp through years of use.
Each panel has an easy-reach release cord built into the corners, so one person can open or close the G2 in seconds. Drop the tailgate, pull the cord, and fold the panels forward; to close it, just fold them back down and they’ll latch automatically. Because the cover sits inside the bed rails, it keeps a low-profile look and still leaves stake pockets open for accessories.
Installing the BAKFlip G2 doesn’t require drilling or special tools. The aircraft-grade aluminum frame rails clamp to the inside of the bed rails, and the front hinge rail bolts in place with included hardware. Slotted brackets make fine-tuning simple, ensuring the panels sit flat and seal tight the first time.

This is the third Bak flip G2 Yard Tonneau Cover. Like that they are strong enough to hold test shap and fold flay enough the I can use the bed camera on my F-350 to help me hook up to the 5th wheel. And when it is closed and my tailgate is locked does provide some protection against theft of anything in the bed. I would recommend the cover to anyone that needs one.
We purchased the BAK Industries BAKFlip G2 Tonneau Cover for our 2019 Ram 2500. We use this cover for security/keeping the weather off of our camping accessories for our RV. The cover works great and is fairly waterproof. The only issues we have had is the 1st latching cable, most of the time we need to pull the cable release from both sides to release the locking lugs to open. Over-all a good purchase, and would recommend it for anyone looking for a hard cover.
Great Tonneau Cover for my Ford Maverick, no issues in a year so I don't suppose there will be any. Fit is perfect and adds class to my little truck. Thanks for a good product.
Overall, a good product. This is the third BakFlip I've owned on different trucks. Quality wasn't as good as older units. The wires to release the latches are too long and get trapped inside the cover so you can't reach them. I added pieces of tape to fix this problem. Also, the nylon straps to hold it open are a nice addition but the plastic buckles broke almost immediately. Older units with metal rings for you to attach bungee cords was a better design.

This is the second BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover we have purchased. The first was for our 2005 Chevy. This is for our 2017 GMC. The 2005 fit much better. The 2017 model is not wide enough to actually fit the bed allowing water to easily enter the bed. Also the posts that hold the cover up against the cab were drilled wrong. You have to remove the slide to fit the prop rod. They simply drilled the hole for the nutzert in the wrong spot on the passenger side. Just not the same quality fit or finish as the 2005 version. We would have returned it but sending it back was going to be too much of a hassle due to its size.
This cover is now completely junk due to a hail storm. No fault of BAKflip but the hail storm destroyed the cover is seconds. The aluminum used in this model is just too light to protect from any type of impact.

Love this cover. It was better than I expected. Equally as important I like working with etrailer. Good people that understand and can explain the details of their products. I have used them for a lot of stuff for my boat trailers always with good results.
The tonneau cover is excellent when you get it installed properly. I can only give it a 3 rating because the workmanship of their latches the way they installed them was very shabby. Had to move all the latches back into their frame so they would not hit the side rails, had to re-drill holes that fastened most of the latches to the frame. If they would have taken their time installed the latches properly, then it would have been an excellent tonneau cover all over.
Great cover!! It was easy to install and has kept everything stored under it clean and dry. I would definitely recommend it.
I bought this cover so when I tow my fifth wheel camper I can open up and still leave a section closed to cover my air compressor and inverter and when I drop the trailer I can cover my hitch and lock it. It works perfectly for my application. Great quality and sturdy.
This cover has made leaving items in our truck bed much easier.
I do wish it had a way to secure it when not fully open, I.e. one section open.

The BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover has done an excellent job of protecting our various item in he truck bed while running around town or out camping. It is a good solution to securing items in the truck bed from casual theft.
Good product. I had to re-drill the prop rods for the cover. They were no where near where they should have been. Other than that, the installation went pretty well. Not quite as sturdy as the one I bought 15 years ago from the same company.
It’s well built and stout. Installation was a little tough. I’ve had to adjust lock tabs a few times. It sure works great keeping wheelchair covered.
This cover has been perfect for my application. Previously I had an electric motorized unit that leaked badly when it rained and had no mechanical override in the event the truck was not running. This cover is nearly waterproof and is easily opened and held open for travel if I choose to do so. It looks and works very well.
This cover works great and was very simple to instal. Didn’t take much time. The only thing I can recommend is that the instructions are kinda hard to follow at the begging.
Ok the cover is great if you use it to secure items in the back but, the down fall is how the system attaches to the Ram trucks. The pressure applied by the bolts for securing the side rails causes the manufacturers bed rails to buckle in the middle which, is minimal if you live in a cold climate but, for the majority, it causes issues. I love the security but I hate what it does to my bed rails.
Excellent cover! Easy to install. Looks way better on my truck than the old one and being able to fold it all the way up against the back window is very nice.
I ordered a Bakflip tonneau cover and fob lock for my tailgate. Instructions on the cover were perfect. It looks great. Absolutely no institutional videos on my 2011 GMC Canyon for the remote. The wiring connection portion of the install was just past tedious. Once figured out it works like a dream.
Very easy to install. I didn't use the instructions (no, I'm not one of those guys). I used the installation video on the BSK G2 tonneau cover on etrailer.com! It arrived in just a few days and was very well packaged. I can finally store things in the bed of my truck safely. Way to go etrailer and BAK Industries!!
